Every detailer has been there: You’re about to decontaminate the paint or wheels, and the entire shop braces for the rotten egg smell that stinks up your garage. Sure, there are products out there that infuse scents to help mask the odor. But let’s be honest; the rotten egg smell is still there (with a hint of citrus or some other fruity scent).

The problem is that all iron removers use the same chemicals to clean and indicate iron: sulfur-containing compounds that humans can smell at the parts per billion level — not exactly something a basic scent can simply cover up.

Stoner Car Care feels (and smells!) your pain, so we developed a product to eliminate the issue and the odor. It utilizes a patented technique that separates the cleaning from the indicating step.

What does that mean? Our super-effective iron and fallout contamination remover does not stink.

Full disclosure: Our indication level isn’t as extreme as traditional iron removers, but we feel the trade-off of avoiding a garage evacuation is worth it. Our odor-free remover sprays on blue and turns orange as it works. We had this match-made-in-car heaven in mind when engineering Iron Remover, so we incorporated lubrication within the product to help safely and effortlessly use it with a clay bar. This product will decontaminate, indicate, and lubricate to get your vehicle cleaned and prepped for the next step in your detail.

These microscopic pieces of metal can travel farther than you might expect, and they don’t care where they land – your paint, glass, trim, and wheels are all targets. Stoner Iron Remover is tough on iron but gentle on your vehicle. Its pH-balanced* formula contains enough acid to do the hard work and pH buffers to help make your detail safe and smooth.

A word of caution: Our formula indicates metals on any surface upon contact, including unsealed concrete, which may contain metals like aluminum, copper, zinc, or others. While this orange indication can be removed, porous surfaces may be challenging to clean.

If you’re working on unsealed driveways, we offer an Indicator-Free version that offers the same effective, no-stink formula without the indication. As always, we recommend conducting a spot test in a small, inconspicuous area before full use.
